BioGuard Spot Kill WP Algaecide
BioGuard Spot Kill WP eliminates algae quickly and easily. Spot Kill WP is for white plaster pools only (do not use on any bleachable surfaces). This product is approved for use in pools sanitized with chlorine and bromine (and should not be used in Soft Swim pools). The granular formula allows for direct application into the pool. This product is near pH neutral and will not upset the water balance. Spot Kill kills green or black algae. BioGuard Spot Kill WP Algaecide kills algae and will rid your pool of unsightly black algae spots. BioGuard Spot Kill WP is for white plaster pools only (do not use on any bleachable surfaces). This product is not for use in painted, vinyl-lined, fiberglass, or colored plaster surface pools as damage may occur to the pool surface.
Prevent algae before it becomes an issue. The addition of algicide is needed for proper pool maintenance. Sanitizers or shock/oxidizers alone may not keep algae at bay and this step is needed to keep your pool completely clear of any growth. This is the third part of the BioGuard 3-Step Pool Care System. Do all algicides kill algae? Not all algicides are alike, only algicides that have been approved by the EPA for killing algae actually perform. All BioGuard products have been thoroughly reviewed and proven effective. Various kinds of algae may require different treatments to ensure they are eliminated.

Dosing & Directions
- Heavy Algae Growth: 2 lbs per 10,000 gallons of water
- Light Algae Growth: 1 lb per 10,000 gallons of water
- Shut off pump and brush all surface-clinging algae
- Wait 4 hours for water to become stationary before adding product
- When pool is not in use, add product directly to pool water in areas of heaviest algae growth
- Let pool sit for 12-24 hours without the pump running
- Turn on pump and vacuum dead algae through the filter
- Brush and remaining algae and clean/backwash filter
- Repeat treatment if algae is still visible
- To restore filter performance, chemically clean filter media
