BioGuard Algicide 28-40
BioGuard Algicide 28-40 is used to prevent algae growth in your swimming pool. Algicide 28-40 is effective against the growth of algae and aids in maintaining pool water clarity and sparkle. It can be used in systems sanitized with chlorinating or brominating products. Algicide 28-40 is safe for all pool surface types. This economical algaecide may foam and may not be used with spa treatment or in pools with attached spas, water features, or jetted returns.
Prevent algae before it becomes an issue. The addition of algicide is needed for proper pool maintenance. Sanitizers or shock/oxidizers alone may not keep algae at bay and this step is needed to keep your pool completely clear of any growth. This is the third part of the BioGuard 3-Step Pool Care System. Do all algicides kill algae? Not all algicides are alike, only algicides that have been approved by the EPA for killing algae actually perform. All BioGuard products have been thoroughly reviewed and proven effective. Various kinds of algae may require different treatments to ensure they are eliminated.

Dosing & Directions
- Initial Dosing: 16 fl oz per 25,000 gallons of water
- Maintenance Dosing: 4 fl oz per 25,000 gallons of water weekly
- Add product to pool with pump and filter operational
- Pour directly into deep end of pool
- Re-dose after each rain
- Wait at least 15 minutes after treatment to enter pool
