How to Beat Holiday Stress

Holiday stress can get to even the most relaxed of us! Is it possible to survive the holidays without that crazy, frantic feeling?
Eat Mini Meals
Be sure and keep up your energy level by eating several small meals or snacks throughout the day instead of a few big ones. Keep your calorie intake the same, so you can keep weight gain at bay.
In addition, be sure and stay hydrated. Keep a water bottle nearby at all times.
This is one of the best ways to reduce your stress, but it can be hard to fit in a 45-minute workout during the busy holiday season.
Don’t beat yourself up if you miss a workout, but do try and get back on track. In fact, it might be easier to fit in three 15-minute workouts during the holiday season. Consider going for a walk, walking stress or doing some high intensity cardio in your office.
Get Enough Sleep
Are you a six, seven or eight hour sleeper? Be sure and get the right amount of Zs all the way through the holiday season. Try to keep a consistent schedule so you stay current on sleep. This will help you stay healthy and avoid colds and the flu.
Hit the Hot Tub for Relaxation
We feel stressed when we don’t get enough sleep, are busy, and have too many worries. Stress tends to snowball into exhaustion and illness, and it builds up around the holidays.
You’ll see improved health, stress reduction and rejuvenation this holiday season when you make hydrotherapy a priority. Enjoy a winter wake-up in a hot tub with a cup of tea or coffee; a 10 minute hot water soak will energize you.
