Smoked Pork Spare Ribs

Adding a heaping helping of spices thrills your dinner guests. Fire these Smoked Pork Spare Ribs up for your next party and wow your friends and family!

Ingredients

2 racks (6 lb) Pork Spare Ribs, Trimmed
2-3 Tbsp Traeger Pork & Poultry Rub
1 cup Apple Juice, Cider, or Beer
8 oz Traeger BBQ Sauce

Preparation

When ready to cook, set temperature to 250℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.

If your butcher hasn’t done so already, remove the silverskin on the back of the ribs and trim off any excess fat.

Season the ribs on all sides with Traeger Pork & Poultry rub.

Arrange the racks of spare ribs on the grill grate, bone-side down and cook for 3 to 4 hours.

After the first hour, spray the ribs with apple juice. Spray every hour after that with apple juice.

After cooking for 3-4 hours, brush the ribs on all sides with Traeger BBQ sauce of your choice.

Return ribs to the grill and cook for an additional 30 to 60 minutes to tighten the sauce.

To serve, cut each slab in half or into individual ribs and serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side. Enjoy!

*Cook times will vary depending on set and ambient temperatures.
