Did you know that Sunday, February 9, is National Pizza Day? As one of our absolute favorite meals – and we bet yours, too – let’s look at five ways to celebrate National Pizza Day.

#1: Go On a Pizza Crawl

You can do a pizza crawl around Wichita. Make a list of the best pizza joints, plan a route and invite people to come along with you.

Be careful and just eat a slice at each location as you move on, trying to decide which is the best slice you’ve had all evening.

#2: Have a Pizza Bake-Off

Host an event at your house. Invite your friends and family to bring their favorite pizza to your house. They can pre-cook it at home, or you can throw it on the grill.

Then, set up some judges to pick the best pizza based on creativity, presentation, and taste.

#3: Take Pizza to Work

If you are working on Sunday, either grill some pizza for your co-workers or pick one up at your favorite pizza restaurant.

Everyone will love you for it, and you’ll get to enjoy some fun even though you’re working.

#4: Cook a Pizza-Shaped Meal

You can have a party where everything you make has a pizza there and looks or tastes like pizza.

For example, make mini pizzas for appetizers, flavor your salad like a Margherita pizza, and serve a wildly unique pizza for dinner. Follow it up with a pizza shaped dessert.

#5: Give the Gift of Pizza

Celebrate the holiday and give your friends gift cards to their favorite pizza restaurants. As a just-because gift, you’re sure to have fun doing it!
