Grilled Guinness Burger
We’re “Dublin” the flavor with this juicy burger. These beef patties are mixed with Guinness beer, smoked, smothered with melty cheese and topped with all the fixin’s. Cheers to the Grilled Guinness Burger!
Ingredients
Grilled Guinness Burger:
2 lbs 80/20 ground chuck
1/2 cup Guinness stout beer
4 tbsp kosher salt
4 tbsp coarse ground black pepper
4 slices pepper jack cheese
4 4 hamburger buns
Toppings:
lettuce
sliced tomatoes
sliced pickles
sliced red onion
Preparation
Mix the ground chuck and the beer and shape into four patties. Sprinkle with salt and pepper generously over both sides of the patties.
When ready to cook, start the Traeger grill on the Smoke setting with the lid open until fire is established (4-5 minutes). Keep the grill temperature on Smoke (set to Super Smoke mode if using a WiFIRE-enabled grill).
Place burgers directly on the grill grate and smoke for 15 minutes. Turn the grill temperature up to 450 degrees F and cook the burgers for 7 minutes.
Flip the burgers and place the cheese on the patties. Continue to cook until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F.
Assemble burgers with desired toppings. Enjoy!
