Spiced Cider Brew Cocktail
Grilled lemon juice, smoked simple syrup, and apple cider are spiced with whiskey, fernet and garnished with orange peel twists and cinnamon sticks. Serve this Spiced Cider Brew Cocktail in a punch bowl with dry ice.
1 (750ML) BOTTLE RYE WHISKEY
1 QT FRESH APPLE CIDER
4 LEMONS to Yield 1 CUP GRILLED LEMON JUICE
1 CUP TRAEGER SIMPLE SYRUP
3 OZ FERNET BRANCA
1 TSP ANGOSTURA BITTERS
ORANGE PEEL TWISTS
When ready to cook, start the Traeger grill on Smoke with the lid open until the fire is established (4 to 5 minutes). Set the temperature to High (set to 500 degrees F if using a WiFIRE-enabled grill) and preheat, lid closed, for 10 to 15 minutes.
For the grilled lemon juice: Cut the lemons in half and place face side down directly on the grill grate. Cook until they have grill marks and have started to caramelize, about 20 minutes.
In a punch bowl or large container, combine all ingredients and chill for 1 to 4 hours, covered, in the refrigerator.
Serve with blocks of dry ice. Enjoy!
