Your Personal Wellness During the Coronavirus
Most of us have personal wellness goals that we strive for each day. So, in that respect not much has changed. But, with the onset of the coronavirus many of us realize we have a long way to go in improving our physical and mental wellness.
With more time to devote to our personal well-being, we’re going to look at some things you can do to improve your personal wellness during the coronavirus.
How to Physically Feel Better in a Hot Tub
When you soak in a hot tub (or even a warm bath), you’ll instantly feel better. Stress and daily troubles melt away.
And, for people who suffer from arthritis, neck or back pain, or sore muscles, hot water immersion can alleviate much of their pain.
The jets in a hot tub provide powerful massage for your aching body, help increase circulation, and provide a for mental relaxation.
How to Physically Feel Better with Exercise
Whether you work out inside or out, you’ll enhance your personal wellness by adding exercise to your routine.
What’s more, consider soaking before and after your exercise to help your muscles recover faster.
How to Sleep Better
One of the biggies for personal wellness is getting enough sleep. In fact, according to the Centers for Disease Control, about a third of U.S. adults aren’t getting enough sleep.
It’s hard to lose weight, control your temper, focus, and have energy when you aren’t getting enough sleep.
So, how can you get the recommended amount of nightly sleep?
The good news is regular hot tub use can help.
First, warm water helps alleviate aches and pains that prevent you from getting to sleep quickly and staying asleep throughout the night.
Second, when you soak nightly, you create a natural rhythm that helps you have a more restful sleep. Be sure and unplug before your soak, and try to soak about an hour before bedtime for the best results.
How to Connect with Family
We are all certainly doing more of this right now.
Connecting with our family members in positive ways is another way to improve your personal wellness and overall health.
We can continue to have strong personal connections through our time of social distancing.
This might mean FaceTime chats. It also means spending quality time with your core group at home. You can spend time inside playing games and watching movies, or you can spend time outside playing, exercising, and hanging out in your hot tub or swimming pool.
The key to personal wellness is securing those personal bonds.
We hope you, like us, will spend some of the next few weeks reconnecting with family, exercising, hanging out in the hot tub, and concentrating on personal wellness.
