Don’t Under Dose Your Swimming Pool
With the current shortage of chlorine, you may be wondering what happens if you just use less chlorine. You may think it will make it last longer. This couldn’t be further from the truth!
Please don’t under dose your swimming pool.
You want to make sure you are maintaining your chlorine residual of 1-4 ppm. If you don’t do this, you’ll end up needing more chlorine to clean up any problems. Watch this video to learn more!
What is the Impact of the 2021 Chlorine Shortage?
Last summer’s devastating hurricane in Louisiana damaged the BioGuard plant in Lake Charles. It produces much of the key ingredients used in pool and spa chlorine products for North America.
The hurricane has created a widespread shortage of chlorine tabs this year. While BioGuard is rebuilding, and it’s expected to reopen next spring, the anticipated strain may limit how many BioGuard® products are available over the next several months.
