Kara is Supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!
Our very own Kara Weed accepted a nomination to participate in the Kansas Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2023 Visionaries of the Year campaign.
This year, community and business leaders join together with the goal of raising $500,000, while competing with one another to raise the most money in the campaign.
Her team is Make Waves for LLS, and their goal is to raise $75,000. Their pillar focus is research, specifically research that is being done to treat children utilizing CAR T-Cell Therapy. As a mom of a two-year-old, Kara says, “It really hit home the effects these cancers can have on young people and the need for treatment designed specifically for children.”
She is posting links on her Facebook page about upcoming events, including Bitchy Bingo on April 15, Dueling Pianos on May 5, and a Hot Tub Giveaway ($19,000 value). (Ultra Modern Pool & Patio and Hot Spring Spa are donating a hot tub.).
