Fourth of July Patriotic Pool Party Games

Ready for a fun Fourth of July patriotic pool party game? Check out some of our favorites.

13 Colonies

Set up a little station for each colony on one side of the pool.

You can use plastic cups with the name of each colony written on each cup. To prevent them from floating away, you might want to weigh them down with a stone.

On the other side of the pool (which is the Atlantic for now), place a bucket filled with 13 marbles for England. The marbles have to be brought to the colonies.

While younger kids can carry them in their fists, older children might want to try carrying the marbles with their toes.

Who can win the most colonies? When somebody loses a marble in the pool, he has to pay taxes and bring all his colonies’ marbles back to England.

Water Balloon Toss

Fill balloons with red, white, and blue water. Partners stand opposite each other, tossing them back and forth, stepping further apart after each successful catch.

Fireworks Catch

Have children line up by the deep end. Throw a few soft, colorful balls into the air as kids jump in, and see who can catch the most “fireworks” before hitting the water.

Floatie Races

Guests sit on their favorite patriotic pool floats and race from one end of the pool to the other.

Have fun and a Happy Fourth of July!
