Do you sit at a desk every day? Does your body ache from the same consistent positions? Do you feel like moving your body is a thing of the past?
Believe it or not, there is relief. In this article, we look at hot tubs and health work habits.
Perhaps you exercise before or after work. That’s great. You’re doing your health a favor by staying active, especially if your 40-hour work week is spent staring at a computer all day.
Our favorite thing to do in the morning (even after our morning workout) is to soak in the hot tub. Just 15-20 minutes, and you’ll emerge feeling rested and well.
Likewise, a hot tub soak after a long day can loosen muscles and the aches and pains that go along with sitting in a chair all day long.
Besides exercise and the hot tub soak, check out these tips for being healthier as well as moving more throughout your day.
Make sure you’re drinking your daily amount of water – this keeps you hydrated and healthy.
Keep a reusable bottle of water at your desk and try to drink at least eight cups per day.
It can be tempting to eat out every day, but that’s not the healthiest choice.
First, you want to eat a healthy breakfast. Whether that’s an omelet or a protein bar, this is the most important meal of the day.
Next, pack yourself a healthy lunch including veggies, fruit and protein. Avoid eating out and the vending machines as much as possible.
Don’t spend all day at your desk. Get up and move for a few minutes every hour.
Consider a quick walk around the building or a short stretching session in your office or cubicle.
This helps you feel better the rest of the day.
Now that you know more about the hot tub and healthy work habits, you can make it your mission to do something each day towards protecting your health and wellness.
