Grilled Beer Can Burger
These Grilled Beer Can Burgers are seasoned well, smashed with a beer can, wrapped with bacon, and stuffed with your toppings of choice. Stuff them good – the messier the better.
Ingredients
2 LB GROUND BEEF
1 Tbsp WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE
1 Tbsp TRAEGER BEEF RUB
BEER OR SODA CAN
salt and pepper, to taste
8 SLICES BACON
Favorite fillings
4 slices CHEESE OF YOUR CHOICE
4 BURGER BUNS
lettuce
sliced tomato
Preparation
When ready to cook, set the Traeger to 300℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.
In a large bowl, season the ground beef with Traeger Beef Rub and Worcestershire sauce.
Roll into 1/2 pound balls, then place a beer can in the middle to shape into a bowl.
Press beef up the sides of the can. Gently remove can and season meat with salt and pepper.
Wrap the burger bowl with bacon, if desired, and fill with your choice of ingredients.
Some of our favorites fillings are mac and cheese, pulled pork, BBQ sauce and cheddar, mushrooms and swiss, or cheddar and jalapeños.
Place burgers directly on the grill grate and cook for about 45 minutes.
In the last five minutes of cooking, top with a slice of cheese and place buns on the grill grate to toast, if desired.
Remove from grill and serve on toasted buns with lettuce and tomato or your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
*Cook times vary depending on set and ambient temperatures.
